Maverick Jackson

Reliability leader building systems, tooling, and automation.

I turn messy real-world operations into durable systems, internal tools, and automation. I run reliability operations for a high-volume distribution center and build the software my teams actually use. Most of what I ship starts as a problem on the floor: a report that eats an hour every morning, a compliance audit nobody has time for, a schedule held together by spreadsheets.

Outside of that I run Proto Node Labs, where I build websites, internal tools, and AI-integrated products for other businesses. I am also finishing a B.S. in Computer Science at SNHU.

  • ~$500K in parts and assets helped recover during a site closure
  • +191% preventive-maintenance catch-rate improvement
  • 14,000+ technician work orders overseen across two sites

Selected work

  • A small studio building websites, internal tools, and AI-integrated products for service businesses. I do the discovery, the build, and the ongoing operations work. Clients stay on monthly retainers rather than one-off projects.

  • Reliability systems at Walmart

    Internal

Internal systems for preventive-maintenance scheduling, compliance review, and daily reporting. Built around the operational problems in front of the team, then designed so peer sites could reuse the approach without a full rebuild.

    • Improved preventive-maintenance catch rate by 191%.
    • Estimated a monthly compliance review could be reduced from about two hours to about five minutes.
    • Estimated daily reporting time savings of about 30 to 90 minutes each morning.
    • Led work-order validation, documentation standards, and CMMS coaching across two sites.
    • Led an 800-plus-day safety streak at a previous site.
    • Designed workflows so peer sites could reuse the approach without a full rebuild.
  • Client web builds

Production sites I designed, built, and maintain.

  • ClaudeBrain

    Open template

A persistent knowledge vault built on plain markdown and Git that gives an AI assistant long-term context across sessions and machines. Built for my own work, then published as a template for other builders.

Stack

  • Build TypeScript, React, Next.js, Astro, Node, Python
  • Data and infrastructure Postgres, Neon, Prisma, Cloudflare (Pages, Workers, DNS, R2), Vercel, GitHub, Tailscale
  • Operations and integrations Cetaris CMMS, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Stripe, Resend, Raspberry Pi

I default to Claude, and I keep OpenAI and Gemini in active rotation rather than as a fallback. Every few months the same real work goes through all three, because the ranking does change and I would rather find that out on my own work than read about it somewhere. Claude has held the top slot for a while now. That is a current answer, not a permanent one.

Outside work

My interests run toward electronics, 3D printing, drones and robotics, and Raspberry Pi projects. Same itch as the day job, wanting to know how a system actually works. I read more philosophy and history than is strictly reasonable, and I have never turned down a good strategy game.
